Position Summary:

The Program Developer may be a part-time or full-time position.Part-time positions consist of either a one-week or a two-week per month commitment at the client (hospital) site.The Full-time position consists of three weeks at client accounts and one week in their home office.

 

The Program Developer will travel to each assigned client account one week per month to design, implement, and evaluate integrated blood conservation (IBC) programs according to Hemo Concepts' standards.Each account has a six (6) month duration.The Program Developer will be on-call by phone for the client hospital during the engagement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Program Developer, acting as a clinical/management consultant, comes alongside the client hospital's full-time IBC Manager to assist in developing Hemo Concepts' IBC program.This includes assessment, SOP's, policies, training, ad-hoc committees, admissions, technical assistance, etc.

This position requires travel on a Sunday through Friday basis.

 

  • Assess and document areas in need of enhancement.
  • Assist Client Hospitals in hiring Program Managers
  • Will assist in the development of program curriculum.
  • Generating reports and completion of related tasks.
  • On-call requirements require availability via phone/pager/e-mail 24/7.
  • Reports directly to the VP of IBC, providing program updates as appropriate.
  • Submits reports to the e-BOS Clinical Support Specialist periodically and upon each program's completion.
  • The developer may be asked to substitute as an instructor at Hemo Concepts' Bloodless Medicine and Surgery Schools .
  • Participates in IBC hospital surveys as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

 

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

 

-          A degree in registered nursing is preferred, but not required.

-          LPN's and PA's may qualify depending upon experience.

-          Must be licensed in the state in which you reside.

-          A minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience.

-          Skilled in presenting and/or public speaking.

-          Must be able to travel to client hospitals on a Sunday to Friday basis.

-          Must possess a valid driver's license.

-          All immunizations must be up to date.

-          A commitment of one year of employment is required.

 

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

 

-          Experience in Nursing Management or other program or project management is HIGHLY Desirable!

-          ICU/ER and previous program experience a plus.

-          Good communication and computer skills.

-          Able to problem solve.

-          Must be flexible.

-          Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

-          Possess the ability to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.

-          Be willing to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing practices.
